    Dear Councillor Barr,

I am concerned about the current consultation regarding the future of Lymm Library. I wanted to email to enquire more about the process? I understand that the public consultation will run until 21st October. Could I clarify whether it will be Council members at Warrington Borough Council that will make the final decision on the proposals for the Library? I am very concerned about the suggested changes. Lymm Library as you will be aware is a central part of the Village and provides an essential lifeline to many members of the community. I am emailing to enquire if as a local Lymm resident, you will be able to put forward the concerns from the residents of Lymm, that have been raised at the public meetings, at any Council meetings, where the Library Modernisation Strategy is being discussed?

I look forward to hearing from you when convenient.

    Kind regards,

    Sarah Telford

      Hi Sarah

Sorry for the slow response. We are busy fighting for Lymm’s library as well as the other libraries in the town. Locally new Parish Councillors Graham Gowland and Ed Gough have helped other volunteers with petitions, social media presence, press releases and responses ot the Livewire consultation. In the Council we have got a motion voted in unanimously which has affirmed the Council’s commitment to providing local library services.

The cuts in funding will inevitably mean change, but we are looking at ways of making these changes positive wherever possible and minimising the damage.

Thanks for your interest in the campaign.
